I have hatchery Cuckoo Marans and they really don't look like the birds in the pic. Much less distinct barring and no yellow legs.

I don't get any really dark eggs like the one describe of the maran's either even though one of my naughty girls isn't laying....My eggs are med. brown to light some with a pinkish tone and some have speckles but none that dark.

i almost want to say that i might be a ester egger, because its feet are greenish and i have seen some ee roos like that , but ees very so much that its hard to tell,but his comb and wattles are almost to big to be an ee. sorry i said it was a rir before... i was judging by tail and comb

Ok so here are some more pics of the chicks maybe someone can give me an idea of maybe how old they are I have no idea these are the first I have had. Also is it to early to tell the sex? And does the light chick look more like a Brahma or a Cochin cause I am really wanting a Cochin.....lol.
