I tried that ^_^ It gave me like 10 options. I was not sure which ones were better. On there it says that RIR produce 5 a week yet people are telling me 7.

I love birds. I had turkeys as a teen. I currently have a parakeet and a conure.

Are they very protective if you? We had a stranger on our property and the two males started circling my mother with their feathers all fluffed out keeping him away from her.

hmm i have mine in a cage because we have coyotes so i've never seen them act like that

than rhode island are perfect for you they have broodiness bred out of them

4 out of 5 of my RR brooded chicks this year. Our Easter Eggers are really calm,I would suggest something with a cool personality like the spitzhauben or phoenix. The ones I have lay really well,love to be handled, and look awesome. The phoenix resemble a pheasant in body type and are just a super bird,they handle the cold very well also.
