I have 2 "Golden Comets" (Red Sex Link), one of which looks just about like yours, except for a lazy comb, and she lays eggs. My mother has 6, and they very from that color to almost RIR color.

I say you are about to get some brown eggs, on the order of 1 a day, almost every day.
