How old is your turkey? Do you have any other turkeys that could have layed the egg that this turkey sat on? Have you seen anyone breed her? There is no marks on her from breeding.

If she just hatched some eggs then she may not have been bred for a month. I have a 2 year old palm tom that never marks up his ladied but he has a bad leg. Pretty bird!

she hatched her egg on memorial day. only 1 made it. she's a little over a year old

It sure looks like a pure Narragansett. It does look kind of like a young tom, but the tail is too well developed to be only a couple of months old. And if it is old enough to be sitting on eggs, I would think the Toms would have beards. And if it is sitting, its got to be a hen. I have a tom Bourbon Red that looks like a hen, except it regularly struts with the other toms. Sometimes the external sex characteristics can be a little confusing.
