She definitely reminds me of my chow with the eyes so she could very well have some chow in her. Chows a also have a wide skull. I think she is very pretty!
Akita and Lab... this dog doesnt have a black tongue as a chow has. It is absolutely akita, I dont' believe rottie either since a rottie doesnt have a "mane" or a bushy tail like this one, and neither does a lab.

agree on all points. It looks like it has a rottie build, but the coat is all wrong. No black spots on the tongue, no chow. The black spots is a really strong genetic trait.

It's not a chow...no black tongue, which is a dominant genetic trait with the breed and almost ALWAYS carry's over even if cross bred with another breed. IF by chance the trait does not carry completely, the tongue will still have black spots on it. That, and it looks exactly like an akita but black.
The first thing I thought of after seeing the pics was Lab/Chow Chow.
Chow Chows were one of the most common breeds in the town I grew up in, and this dog looks very similar to the ones I've seen.
Here's a quote from Wikipedia's page about Chow Chows: "The blue-black/purple tongue gene appears to be dominant, as almost all mixed breed dogs that come from a chow retain the tongue color."
It says "almost," so I guess a pink tongued Chow Chow cross isn't impossible.

I was going to adopt a chow/bulldog mix and he was definitely a chow mix and he did not have the black tongue. No, they don't always have the black spots. Sometimes, rarely even full bred chows show up with a pink tongue.
Here is a picture of a full bred open faced chow. The closed faced have a shorter muzzle.
