Thank you that does help the older they get the more they seem female, crazy but oreo, the one in the picture let out a loud quack, so I think..... they are SAOk, I don’t know if this will help you, but my chicken sitter told me today that they got 3 ducklings from Metzger Farms. They were supposed to get 1 Welsh Harlequin, 1 Silver Appleyard and 1 Golden 300, all sexed females.
They’ve had SA before, so based on leg color, they thought they could I.D. their chicks in this photo from left to right as SA, WH and Golden 300.View attachment 3143497
But then that would mean Metzer messed up on sexing a sex-linked breed! So they emailed that they got a male on accident and sent photos, and Metzger replied back that they accidentally got sent 2 Silver Appleyards, and no Golden 300.
Maybe leg color doesn’t matter. Their prior SAs had orange legs and feet, and one of these has orange and the other blackish.
But, I thought you might like to see the photo, just as another example of what WH and SA look like.
Yay!!Thank you that does help the older they get the more they seem female, crazy but oreo, the one in the picture let out a loud quack, so I think..... they are SA
