Hello I just got quacky two months ago from a small ranch owner and they pretty much have a variety of waterfowl,to be exact just chinese geese, what it seems to be khaki campbells, pekins, runners and a couple wild ducks,I got it as a duckling so at first I had no idea from time to time it would sort of stand up like a runner but it does not have the body of the other ducks,I've been doing research and foimd nothing, would it be possible for Quacky to be a mixed breed? Or just one I had no knowledge about?

Also,I've got experience with my gander getting angel wing,I was able to fix it but now that Quacky's wing developed fine, can he go back to a little more of protein? Right now I've been feeding him cracked corn and sorghum mix and the occasional earthworm as a treat

Quacky is a beautiful girl, she looks very friendly :) She may be a swedish black duck crossed with a chocolate indian runner. I'll do a little looking into runner colour varieties, as she may be a white chested chocolate or something like that(I don't know much about indian runners, or even if there is a colour variety like that)

Beautiful duck. :)
I would recommend getting him a proper all flock type feed. Cracked corn doesn't have a lot of nutritional value for them. Not sure what the sorghum mix has in it.
We've been talking about Angel wing around here a lot lately and most of us are not convinced high protein is the leading cause. I wouldn't worry as much about the protein as I would worry about the other nutrients he may be lacking in his diet.

Thank you she is a sweetheart,I'll see if I can go check the breeds again at the ranch,I was planning in bringing company home,if she is crossed now at least it'll explain the lack of eggs

Alright, she can food share with the rooster now,I cut off the protein when I saw her feathers swell, but now tjey catched up with her wings, umm wonder what it is then

Did it sort of look like quills? What did you mean by swell?
When the flight feathers start to grow in you'll see it kind of looks like quills growing at first and they don't always stay in place perfectly until the feathers emerge and weigh them down a bit. :)

Oh more like the feather's base being thicker than usual and fortunately the quills did not form my gander did get quills pointing to each side, looked uncomfortable
