Not mixed with Cochin. I've been seeing these around lately. Bred and produced by only one farm, bred to SOP. The farm that produced these only produces them in Mille Fleur and is having great production. They are currently in the process of building up a frizzled pullet flock.

I'm actually following the farm and am actively following their progress.

Crossed with Cochin. Or another frizzled breed.
They have to get the gene somewhere. Unless a mutation were to make it show up which would be veeeery unlikely.

You can crossbreed and breed to the SOP, to which much misgivings is prone.
However, many of the great varieties have been developed in that way.
