Not to shoot your thoughts down, but Jersey Giants have single combs and higher set tails than this one, even if they are poor quality. .
Also, EE's don't have standards to fall from. They're mutts.
There are some standards to EEs or we wouldn't be guessing this one to be an EE based on her green legs and comb. IMO, hatchery EE's are not mutts. Mutts can be mixes of about anything, while hatchery EEs are basically non-standard Ameraucanas -- not bred to the colors of show quality Ameraucanas. The reason I am specifying hatchery EEs is because the term Easter Egger is also used on this board for chickens that are part Ameraucana or EE and part something else (Ameraucana X barred rock), which is not what hatcheries sell, and can have any kind of comb, body shape, etc, depending on what that second breed was.
Let's say someone breeds their wire haired dachshunds with short-haired or long haired dachshunds - the puppies from these mixes would probably not be show quality or be used for breeding show dogs because they would no longer breed true - they wouldn't be "pure bred" wire-haired dachshunds in the sense that you could breed for show. You could call them mutts if you want, but I bet their owners would still consider them to be dachshunds. These dogs would still have certain traits that dachshunds carry, such as short legs, long bodies, long noses, etc and it would be obvious to outsiders that they are dachshunds (or at least, look like dachsunds) - even if dachsund breeders can sense something is off. Breeding 1 type of dachshund to another type is not the same as breeding a dachshund to a chihuahua (or any other type).
Hatchery EEs usually have muffs/beards, pea combs, and a certain body shape. They can have green, slate, or yellow legs - most of mine have slate/grey legs. It's not common, but they can be clean-faced (no muffs/beard), but so can purebred Ameraucanas (it's a fault, but it happens with both EEs and Ameraucanas). I have EEs from my local feed store and from an online hatchery. I also have pure Ameraucanas that I hatched from BYC member's eggs. Except for the coloring, there isn't much difference that I can see visually (hopefully, I'll get more blue eggs from the Ameraucanas). I'm getting both green and blue eggs from the EEs. My only clean-faced EE or Ameraucana pullet was actually bred from two purebred Ameraucanas.
To the OP - Groaner: I believe your white chicken is an EE hen. Here is a photo of my cleanfaced non-standard Ameraucana / Easter Egger (from 2 purebred Ameraucanas -- Blue Wheaten Ameraucana roo x Splash Ameraucana hen). The color is quite different from your hen's - I'm just using her to illustrate what a clean faced EE would look like (comb/body shape):
Here she is with some bearded girls -- 2 non-standard Ameraucanas/Easter Eggers in front - a Wheaten Ameraucana pullet in back - her clean face does make her seem like another breed:
My Splash Ameraucana hen (she laid the egg from which the clean-faced chicken hatched from) - the Splash was hatched from Blue Ameraucana eggs:
My hatchery Splash EE pullet - she's still young in this pic - maybe 3 months - even prettier now (she's my only EE with pure green legs).
