What breed is this??

She is a beautiful EE - she looks like my EE that came from the hatchery as a Buff Orpington. She is not a BO. She lays beautiful big green eggs. This one my daughter named Peepers - because she was not quiet as a chick.

Hatchery ee's lately.. I have some from MT healthy hatchery and they all had green legs but a range of colors. I have one that started laying and the egg is white. What the heck ?? What type of comb does it have ? I say anything from a hatchery the odds are endless because they always leave you going hum ???

I'll add my vote with the EE group. Yours is diluted (hence why no muff), but it is definitely EE. I got lucky with mine, and the hatchery she came from kept really good standards for staying as close to the Americauna breed as possible. BUT, lots of hatcheries are breeding more for what they think customers want rather than for breed conformity. I'm certain that many cross out their EEs with varieties that they believe will enhance the bird's egglaying production. If they do it right, you may lose a couple features (like the muff), but you still get the supreme end goal: colored eggs.

Also, Illia is like the Where's Waldo queen of spotting EEs. If she says EE, it's for sure
