I got this from a lady this weekend.

She was just giving him away. She said he was a "rarer breed " rooster but she did not have any hens for him.

Any suggestions on what he is?

    I think I know this!

It looks like a gold brabanter!

I have a cream and love it!

Now looking at the comb, I am wondering if it is a SPITZHAUBENS

I wonder if since he is younger he has not fully feather/ watlled up for what every it is called.

Just found a 22 page thread on the 2 different types mentioned... Looks like I have some reading to do :)

But thank you anyways for both suggestions :) It gave me a place to start :)

His comb looks like a carnation (king) comb, and the only chicken I have heard of with that is a Penedesenca, but I don't think that they any top notch (puff on top of the head).

    He's a mutt. That isn't a Carnation comb, it's a single x v x single again.

I have a Polish cross with an identical comb, and several other Polish crosses with identical color.

His head, comb, leg color, body color, and body type do not match any purebred breed.
