I have also bred dominiques and while the shanks of that front chick do resemble those of a female, they're not dark enough to say for certain, plus, the wing feathers say otherwise. Like I said before, I do not base my opinions on the spot on the head, as I've had broken and unbroken spots with each yielding both males and females.
