What breed should I get?!

    So I'm building an urban chicken coop this summer and want to stock it with 2-4 birds. My neighbour's house is literally 10 feet away so my first priority it a quiet chicken that can live in a VERY cold climate (-30) , after that I just want one that can almost be a "pet" more then livestock you know? Ideally a breed that will rarely go broody and has a very good egg production? Any ideas?

    Easter eggers. But don't get roosters. They lay large colorful egg and if you handle a lot will be friendly. All hens are noisey when laying an egg, just so you know. You can always share some of your eggs with your neighbor, thats what I do :)
