what breed was your quietest rooster??

Quietest, my Creve roos...although his crow is funny--it sounds the same as "Here comes the bride"...if you know what I mean? Loudest...probably my Sumatra and his is high-pitched. He also probably crows the most. Most ugly crow--my lemon blue cochin (project bird) roo...he has what I call the "smoker crow." Hubby calls it gutteral, LOL

Both of my roos are fairly good neighbors - although we don't have many neighbors to be good to! I have no real idea what breed either one of them are - but they get along really well with each other.

We've never heard One-Eyed Jack crow at all.

I've heard Big Daddy crowing when I'm leaving for work in the mornings - about 6 a.m. But he doesn't crow constantly.

Roger has the ugliest crow I've ever heard. If it weren't for the eggs she lays, she'd be in the pot for sure!

We thought Roger was a roo - because she crowed. Now she lays eggs, and still crows!​

I have a 9mth old cochin roo who has yet to crow. Call me crazy, but I am kinda bummed about it. My husband says he just can't get a word in edgewise as he is the lone roo with 12 hens.

I had a Blue Americana roo that wasn't too noisy. I had a Splash Ameraucana that never crowed once prior to my selling him.

Noisiest: White Crested Blue Polish

Most annoying Crow: Partridge Cochin

Sharp and clear: Golden Cuckoo Maran

Just right: Blue Wheaten Ameraucana

I recently had one that never made a sound. Not even a sound like a cluck. He was really quiet even if you were very near to him, not a peep. Alas, we only had him three days tho. The 4th day he went fron the freezer to the oven and we never did hear him crow.
