This is Pandora, I think she is an Easter Egger

This is Spike, not sure what he is

This is Roxy, she is barred rock i think

This is Red, I think she is a rhode island red

This is Chick, I think she is black astrolorp (sp?)

Thanks :)

Spike would look like another Easter egger if it weren't for those pink legs.
Not sure.

Red looks like a speckled Sussex, coloring and pink legs

Thanks for the input :)

I will have to look up speckled sussex and check it out.

This is just my tiny backyard flock for eggs for the family, and I was curious about the breeds. Thanks again :)

1st looks more like a golden campine (could be a beardless ee)
2nd not sure maybe an ee
3rd barred rock
4th looks more like a speckled sussex
5th blk assutralorp

Pink legs on #2=not EE

EEs are such a genetic mix that just about anything is possible, including pink legs. Not common, I grant you, but it happens. I had an EE chick with pink legs. They eventually started to change at about three months, ended up slate/blue. I have also seen pics of EEs with yellow legs too. All depends on what the hatchery or breeder through into the mix.

Yet another reason I don't like hybrids...

Yes, could be EE as the definition of EE is a mutt chicken that lays colored eggs. No way to tell until it lays, if a hen.

But by that logic: why is there such a thing as an EE rooster?

Thanks for all the replies. Spike seems to be a mystery. I will have to post more pics in a few weeks. They seem to change by the day, lol, they grow so fast :) I'm loving being a new chicken owner.
