what breed?

hi

just wondering if anyone has an idea what this chicken is? We received an order of meat birds this spring and this little one came along by surprise. We are wondering what breed and she or he? Poor little one lost all its chickens and is living with the ducks. We are raising up a small group of egg layers now so that "she" can be part of a flock

What kind of comb does it have and what hatchery did you get it from?

Looks like a golden comet, which is a hybrid chicken and making her a pullet I believe!

Yes, it does look like a red hybrid layer (called Red Stars, Red Sex-links, Golden Comets, Golden Buffs, Cinnamon Queens, etc.) They usually make excellent layers of brown eggs!

I think our feed store ordered them from millers in alberta
