well these are the breeds i currently have,
hybrid leghorns (the ones you get from commercial hatchery)
silkies (bantam)
cochins(bantam)
bresse (as far as i can tell there the Canadian strain its what am told from who i got them from)
seramas
and Swedish ducks
i how ever would like to acquire more ducks and some geese if i had it my way, (plus meat turkeys)
Beautiful birds! We have a pretty small flock: two RIRs, a Barred Rock, a serama-millefleur hybrid, and an Ameraucana. We used to have a Blue Andalusian.
At the moment all I have a chicks. I sold my mature stock last fall.
I have had a bit of luck with hatching shipped eggs and I think I went a bit overboard.

I don't have many of each, but just enough to provide variety. I still have a while to wait before I start rehoming all excess males.
Yes it is a lot. AND I forgot to mention a few Naked necks and English Orps. I think it is apparent I love the BIG breeds.
When the eggs in the incubator hatch, I'm done for the year with chicks. Next year I hope to have a few good broodies to do all this work.
