There is honestly a lack of colour diversity in my part of the country...

Once I find another job, I may try to bring some in from Western Canada. There's a breeder over there that has some really nice colours.

In the meantime, I'm keeping my eyes open for anything interesting in the local classifieds. I love breeding for colour, and used to have a lovebird aviary that specialized in the more exotic ones.

Can hatching eggs be shipped to Canada? That might be a way to get some color on your flock

I'd have to look into that, but with the way shipping is nowadays, I'd be afraid to try! With my luck, they'd get stuck at the border.

Well, it appears I can import hatching eggs, as well as ducks, but you have to have a vet certificate attesting that the flock is free of disease.
