What color to paint it - my new coop struggle!

It's a good problem to have - I am building a new coop, and have free range to paint it whatever color I want. I just can't decide - there are too many good choices!!

Show me your colorful coops??

There is a part of me that wants a very colorful coop, and another part of me that wants a white coop with a fun pink door (see inspo photo below), or something more classic like that.

My current coop is a light green color, so I think I want something different than that, though I do love the light green too!

Argh!

None of these are my coop, but here is some inspiration for my current color obsession.....

White with a blue door is also very cute... but is the white too boring?? Will I hate how dusty it gets?? Because then I see full color coops, and I love the look also....

A white coop will not be a white coop after a few months. I'd suggest a color that will hide dirt and poop stains. :D
Exactly my thoughts!!

Looks so pretty for the photos, but maybe not practical. I also live somewhere where it is cold & snowy 8 months out of the year - so a white coop on white snow is not exactly the coloful experience I am shooting for!

hmmmmm.....

ok, I went down the rabbit hole on a paint brand website where yu can "paint" exteriors to get the visual... Bear with me, I know this is a garage, but you'll see the vibe...

I am leaning toward a blueish main color with colorful accents - I just cant decide between peachy or buttery yellow!

I love this cobalt blue shade:

Then I started dabbling into greens... I dont hate this either!! Very mid century modern!

Some lighter/more greyish shades of blue are pretty too!

Then I accidentally did this, and I was like WHOA that's fun too!!

Tell me which one you like the best!! We spend a lot of our months in drab grey/brown winter up here, so I am trying to add color to my backyard!

Here are the ones I like. Note: there is not a single decorative touch on my run or coop!

One thought about the mockups: using the double garage door view pits way more emphasis on the trim color than their might be on your chicken palace. Something to maybe consider.

I love this cobalt+coral. It seems more New England than others:

This is a more southeast US beach look. I don’t know how it would hold up in grey winter light:

And this one’s kind of in-between, I guess:

yeah, I am somewhat limited in my options for exteriors I can play with on this paint website, the accents on the coop would be smaller than the garage doors, but this is really just to see the colors together. The rest of the house in the image had too much brick, which was kinda throwing off the entire thing... So I cropped it out.

I have since made about 300 more color combinations, because I cant stop, wont stop, hahaha....

I am still leaning heavily toward something in the blue/peach family.

I like blue and yellow together. That's me though, and I don't have to look at it every day. I suggest putting all your choices into a hat and picking one. That best part is, you can always change it if it's not the way you love it. It's just paint.
Very much this... I am known to just randomly paint things without warning. ;)
