What Color Will They Be?

I just set eggs and if they hatch what color will the chicks be?

Here are the roos

I call this color Scarlett, but is that right? His back got beat up when he was in my pheasant coop with other male quail. He's in with the hens now.

You're going to get a mix. I can't predict what you're going to get reliably with this mix of birds. The roos are rosetta and SSC, while the hens are white, pharaoh, falb fee and rosetta. You're likely to get all of those.

Oh, thank you! Which hen is a Falb fee? And what is a SSC? Forgive my ignorance.

Also, the Rosetta hen lays blue eggs, will she pass this on?

The falb fee is this one:

SSC stands for Schofield Silver Collection, and your boy has the classic look of the SSC.

The gene for celadon (blue) eggs is recessive, so she will only pass it on if the roo carries it too.
