What Coop Camera Do You Have?

Good thread , I've been looking into cams for my coop . I am going to try the Wyze Cameras in my coop and run , I have a power strip in there with room for the USB adapter plugs and my WIFI signal is pretty good out at the coop . The APP is free and you can download or save to micro SD cards or one week of rolling cloud storage . I am mostly interested in Live feed , but if they work good maybe set one for motion detection . The price is pretty good on them and the reviews are good . They do have outdoor cases for them to be protected from the elements so the one going in the run will be in a weatherproof housing . One nice thing with the Wyze APP is my daughter who (lives about 10 miles away) is my partner with the birds can download the APP on her phone and start her own Wyze account and I can give her permission to access the coop cams on my account so she can check on the birds from basically anywhere she has phone service . I'll report back on them when I get them up and running .

I don't have any WiFi cameras but we have several acres and have several game cameras around on our property. I have taken my cell out and loose my WiFi signal when out at the coops so I opted for regular game cameras. I have seen some WiFi game cameras on Amazon, but not sure how far from the router they can be for a signal. I don't want to spend the money on them if I can't get a signal.

I got the Wyze Cams this morning , I got one Pan/Tilt camera for inside the coop and one standard 1080p for the run . I have the Pan/Tilt hooked up in the coop , works great , I can see the whole coop with the pan tilt option , the picture is great , setup was fast and easy . Here's a picture from that Wyze Pan/Tilt cam in the coop .

My daughter also downloaded the APP on her phone and I sent her permission to access the coop cam through the APP and it works just fine on her phone . For a $35 camera I am impressed . I'll get the run cam installed tomorrow .

Here's a short video of the little ones

I have been using the Wyze cameras for several months now. Love them. Have 4 set up. The one came in handy when we had a skunk problem. They were living under the shed. Caught the skunk in a trap but let out the dogs not knowing we had a skunk. Was a smelly mess and a trip to the dog groomers to get the dog deskunked. Got smart and aimed a camera at the trap. Checked the trap before letting out dogs. Next time there was one in the trap the dogs did not get let out until the skunk was removed.

I wouldn't mind getting some Wyze cameras for my coops. I have AC out there but can't get a WiFi signal.

You might check into Ethernet over power. I use that technology to take my ethernet connection from the house out to the shop. From the shop, I have wired ethernet into the coop. Basically, the technology carries the ethernet signal on your power line. You have an adapter at your house, then you'd have another one in your coop. This is what I bought this summer, and it's been working great for me. https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B07J5NDPXK/?tag=backy-20

I tried one of those but the coops were still too far away to pick up the signal. There is probably a couple of acres between the house and the barn and coops.
