She's definitely beautiful but because she's laying brown eggs, I didn't think she could be that breed.

This is the blessing and the curse of easter eggers..... they come in such a variety of color and pattern and you can find some truly uniquely beautiful birds. The curse comes when a beauty like this pops up and outs a one -off vs being easily recreated like the more common ones are

Easter Eggers can lay brown eggs. That's why they are called Easter Eggers. There is a huge range of possible egg colors, and you can never know exactly what colors you'll get till they start laying.

junebuggena is absolutely right. Yes, green and blue/green eggs are most common in Easter Eggers. But they can also lay brown, cream, pink, or even white eggs. Depending on their bloodlines and breeding.

What they ordered was not listed as Easter eggers. The dirty little secret of the hatcheries is they market Easter egger chicks as being actual ameraucana. So the feed store did by Easter eggers they just didn't know it

Agreed. 99% of hatcheries "Ameraucanas" are actually Easter Eggers. Very, very few actually sell real Ameraucanas.
