What did you do in the garden today?

Beautiful,,,,,,, :thumbsup
How long have you had this one???
My mom kept one for about 3 years. (indoors of course)..
I usually take mine outdoors in the late Spring and plant in the ground. They expire when frost arrives. The following year, I do same with the Christmas Poinsettias again. :)
Let’s see, I got this one almost three years ago. I keep it outside in a big pot and bring it in during the winter.

How long? Do you keep it inside? What do you use for fertilizer and light? I can barely keep mine alive through Christmas and it is just to decorate the house. You two are truly blessed with a green thumb. I only know one person here who can winter over the plant and her name was Judy Williams (old nursing colleague) while all of ourselves shriveled up and died.
I’ve been trying for about 6 years  I keep it inside in the winter but I put it outside around March and that’s where it stays all summer, only watering it when it starts to droop otherwise I just let the rain take care of it. I usually repot it in the winter and add rabbit manure to the soil, that and the occasional duck water are all the fertilizers I give it. Really the hardest part is overwintering them with enough light.

Lemongrass did really well this year. There are around 70 plants there, maybe 1/5 of what I could get if I split all my big clumps.

I went shopping for the garden today

Some ground cover with daisies, two more lantana with red flowers to go with the yellow ones and red hibiscus, and a pride of Barbados. I forget what the clumping thing and the one with yellow flowers is but I like 'em. They're "full sun" but I'll bet not in summer here. All but the lantana I hope to put in with the quail.

We now have 3 each white and pink oleanders. The pinks are dwarfs and will go between the white, not dwarfs, to shade the outer west wall of our yard in the afternoon. Planting these tomorrow. The one that looks dead has new growth after I gave it some super thrive. They'll all get some at planting tomorrow morning too. That stuff is the best!
