Good morning gardeners
It's about 0230, I'm up with a headache so I made coffee and sat down for some BYC time. Of course it takes me an hour to reply to anything because puppies must play

There's a short green carpet where I "planted" the carrots, onions and chives. There's also green stuff growing where the broccoli should be so I'm assuming it's broccoli. We have a few tomatoes starting to ripen, turns out the donor is of the cherry variety. Rabbit poop, anyone use it? Great stuff but I'm wondering when and if I'll need more or if I should use something else too. Thoughts?
So sorry to hear that you have headaches bad enough to wake you up!
As far as rabbit poop goes, I use to raise New Zealand White rabbits ( they are a meat rabbit). I had them housed in a 5' x 8' shed and had corrugated roofing under the cages, slanted so the the poop and urine would run down and into the gutters I installed at the back of the cages. The gutters exited the shed straight into the garden!! People said I had the biggest and best tasting tomatoes they had ever had!!
I would still have rabbits now, but the hubby said it's either chickens or rabbits.
So I have chickens and turkeys! I did not use any other type of compost when I had the rabbits.
Skinning and butchering the deer was a big job! I finished around 2 AM. I still have all the "scraps" to grind up to make ground venison. I thought I would tackle that today but it turned out to be a "take your mom on errands day". She had a doctor's appointment at 1:40 and then wanted to go to the bank and Target. We never made it to the bank. It wasn't too bad of a day even though she ran into me on the motorized cart in Target!
Anyway, I ended up being gone for 6 hours! I need to check on the chickens and the start working on the deer meat again. Have a great weekend everyone!
