The snow has vacated the garden space! I planted a row of peas today, because you guys inspired me! Last year I waited too long and only was harvesting for a couple of weeks. This time I will try what seems way too early, but our winter has been wimpy. It got close to 60°today!

The snow has vacated the garden space! I planted a row of peas today, because you guys inspired me! Last year I waited too long and only was harvesting for a couple of weeks. This time I will try what seems way too early, but our winter has been wimpy. It got close to 60°today!

Although peas can be planted early, they don't grow until its consistently 60 - 70° out. I've tried planting early, on time, soaking seeds, etc. The only time I got a decent crop was when I planted in fall, row covered with plastic, and the harvested in spring. Maddeningly frustrating!!!
