What did you do in the garden today?

Welcome back @Sueby Oh I forgot to celebrate this morning publicly(here). I woke up to low humidity and 63F, tonight will be pleasant too as a cool front actually made it through we will still be in the mid to upper 90's though! :celebrate There was the briefest spattering of rain but nothing survived the sunrise still in Extreme Drought conditions.

I called the Deputies on over this morning so they could cite my neighbor and inform him that I am legally allowed to either sue him in a civil action or just straight up shoot his dog should I see it running at large or coming on my property or even just sniffing my fence as by Texas law that dog has all the legal protections of a coyote. That legal threshold was met by observing it on our property and attacking our hens. The hen is fine she is just a naked neck silkie now with some minor degloving. She is highly fashionable with Blu-Kote accessories and living it up in her own private apartment. Regardless, he got his warnings from Johnnie law and I didn't have to talk to the jerk. I did get the weedeater out and knocked down all potential nesting sites and low and behold my hens are back in production! 7 eggs so far today and sunset is still 6 hours away!

Hey Allen, I was checking out those root pouches this morning. I love the idea of those big ones for a 3 sisters garden. Thanks for mentioning them, I'm going to give it a try next year.
Yes at $30 each for a circular 5ft10inch planter 24 inches deep the price is very good. I really wanted to build a series of 4x8 raised beds but I couldn't do anything like that at a comparable price point.

Just make sure you don't waste money on the cheaper gray ones. The sun kills those in about 2 years(well here). I have brown ones that are still going strong at the 5 year mark.

I saw that in your post earlier. The bags are cheaper than building something for sure. I imagine the sun would kill the grey here quick too. If we get umbrellas for our outdoor table they last 2 years max.

Went to the feed store today (Wilco) to get a few things. I seem to always be going through garden hose splitters, I'm never happy with them, they break, so I got a new one. I also got a new Melnor Sunrise Timer because my last one broke over the winter. I'll be installing these things today. Still cleaning up the yard getting myself to the point where I can start planting.

Welcome back @Sueby. You have been missed. I was wondering how you were doing with your back and the Coronavirus on top of that. I’m on the last leg of building up my Wee Farm, then no more building after this last chicken coop project.
Look yourself in the mirror when you say things like that!:lau
