What did you do in the garden today?

I hear you and am right there Sally. I've got pretty realistic expectations for myself and I generally do things the most efficient (read lazy) way possible.

Well I was pulling out weed while I dug up my garden .also let out my girls so they can look for worms

No gardening today. I can’t seem to catch a break. A murderer who used to live just down the road escaped last night and they caught the guy he escaped with in our county. I will not be going outside to do more than water chickens.

Well, didn't accomplish everything, but more than nothing? Filled 2 of 3 large pots with a mix of potting mix and year-old chicken run compost and put my last gladiolus bulbs in then. Sooo many worms in my compost!

Bought a new feeder for the chickens. Need to get it assembled so I can hang it tomorrow.

Put a new layer of leaves in the run (yay! Future compost!). Didn't get the wood shavings into the nesting boxes, but that can happen tomorrow.

I bought cabbage seeds at target of all places. And sadly buried a hen who died this morning our other hen we lost was snatched so this is the first time I’m had to handle a body.

We had our first harvest out of this year's garden this evening! A few cilantro leaves on tacos!

I raked up some thatch for putting down on the garden walkways. That's always needed. And pulled a couple buckets of little weeds for the chickens. I figure if I do that every day, I'll keep on top of the weeding.

Same... you get used to it after some time. Then you get hot. I just came back inside actually.
