What did you do in the garden today?

@WthrLady absolutely beautiful! I get the hands aching just looking, lol. I don't think I could do it anymore, my hands hurt whisking eggs. :gig I love the pattern on the last cake. ❤️

I did a google search on my photos also & most seem to be before digital life or what I could find was not great quality (sheesh we've come a long way in 10 years!). I did find my parents 50th wedding anniversary cake (hence the gold).

This is fun - I love pics of people creations!

But I can bake cakes! My best friends wedding cake:
You make beautiful cakes!
I had to break down & buy eggs. 10 chickens & I had to buy. Little freeloaders. I think I need more chickens. 🤭
Lazy chickens are a bane! :) I've been putting off culling my poor layers for months, They're so cute and trust me and it's just a little chicken feed and the other girls are laying well and and...
My brussels look like they are finally starting to call it quits. I'm not at all happy with them because I haven't got one real brussel sprout from 8 plants. Kale is looking a little sad this morning, but not too bad.
I gave up on brussel sprouts, I grew beautiful huge plants loaded with sprouts that were full of aphids and mealy bugs and inedible. Chickens got them all and loved them, but the space the plants took in the beds could have been far better used.

Okay, here's a few pics of some felting:

Oh and the only one I kept, a water bear:

I plan to get rich making fanciful water bears and selling them to fellow nerds on Etsy. :)

I just ordered some of these from etsy. I hate the skelter I have, it tips over too easy. We'll see!

Nice looking egg rack.

FWIW, I have an egg skelter that works very well and does not tip over. Maybe not all skelters are made to the same design.

I bought my egg skelter from eBay back in 2019 for $10.89. That particular egg skelter is no longer sold on eBay, but there are others of the same design. Trick, of course, is to get one with a wide bottom so it does not tip over.

My neighbors had a mouse chew a PEX line in the 2nd story bath - flooded the house while they were sleeping.
Yikes! We are putting in PRX with new bathroom remodel. But, we are on a crawl space, so I guess that’s one plus.

Yes, us too. That might be a buy at the store item. But the gardener in me wants to find some success, so likely will try again

I had saved some bush bean pods from this fall and they were drying out on the counter. Today I shelled the pods and took out the bean seeds. As you can tell, I don't pay much attention to the specific variety of bean seed I am saving. I just mixed them all together. Which is also how I plant them. So my bean garden has a nice mix of green, yellow, and purple beans and a mix of varieties. Not very organized, but I like the different types of beans. These are all bush bean seeds. Next year I will try to save some pole bean seeds.

Only one of my brussle sprouts has gotten big enough fruit to eat .. Thinking how to shelter the other two for next year?..
Morning Gardeners !
Are eggs are stored in bowl in the fridge. New eggs lay in carton until I start to fill the carton with eggs from the bowl..
