What did you do in the garden today?

Good morning gardeners. @jerryse I hope all is well! We had some rain overnight and one of the girls has gone broody in the compost pile. I’m letting her sit and my son will take whatever hatches. I have a plan for the bunnies outside if my daughters coworker doesn’t take them and I bought myself a grow light, seed mat and tray with dome for seed starting with part of my holiday bonus, the rest goes to bills but at least they’re getting paid. The lemon grass is looking a little rough, but the hibiscus seems happy to have the space and light. Take care all!

Warming up a bit today to 49F, but rain is expected. The week ahead looks good climbing to 53F Tuesday and 67F (I cannot believe it!!!) on Wednesday. Cloudy or partly cloudy for the next week without precipitation expected except for today.

Not much I need to do outside, but I might get out there and enjoy the weather when I can. I should clean out/organize the shed while the weather is nice too. We'll see if I get to it...

Yay Pumpkin!

Sort of warm out there, all the snow is melting. Rain tomorrow.

My last ditch effort to save one of my reds - 2 of them lost feathers on their necks from a feeder. Green molted & they grew back, Red hasn't molted & she's getting her feathers plucked now to the point there is a little blood. BlueKote isn't cutting it anymore so I covered her in pine tar - OMG is she beside herself! :gig I think I put way too much on. 🤭 I had to rearrange feeders to minimize the spread of pine tar. It's going to be everywhere. Dumb birds!
