What did you do in the garden today?

Well the glycerin and rose water for chapped hands would probably actually work. But rose absolute and a clean-feeling oil, like jojoba, is probably better for you. The handwriting is so fancy it's hard to read, and I write in a similar, less fancy form of cursive. Nice little jaunt back in time at how stuff used to be though, thanks for sharing!

The dang lid on the plastic tub I've been keeping the chicken feed in disintegrated in my hands this morning. So per Dh's suggestion, I threw a piece of plywood on top of the tub for now. New container might have to wait for next months budget items.

About time for me to pop out for the midday egg check. Might be time to harvest a couple okra pods then too. Have fun, stay cool

Back in May we had it (thankfully my 18month old was asymptomatic) took us foooorever to find a take home test. My DH ended up going to an urgent care and getting a serum test done because the tests we did find were expired🤦🏻‍♀️. It's just crazy here. My closest friend's baby got it this week because his cousins have it. They tested positive then went to stay with grandma for the day while the parents went to work. I know omicron isn't "as bad" but as someone with an autoimmune disorder it's not a fun time and takes me forever to get back to 100%
Hope your DH gets well quickly! And that hopefully if/ when you get it that it is asymptomatic!
Son has it, not DH, although give us time. We're a sharing family. :lau

The ointment for crabs actually sounds like it would smell fantastic ! LOL

Welp I tried watering last night before dark in hopes it would dry up a little before snails come a crawling.
Go out this morning, cuz of course I couldnt sleep past 3:30am, and find those stupid things headed towards nearly every plant.
So back to morning watering I will go...atleast for the flowers out front which is where I see the snails. Out back in raised bed seemed to do fine.
Didn't catch the dang critter still.
Got more cucumbers.
And got a huge thing of em soaking in ice water for next 2 hours then will finish up Granny's pickle recipe! They are sweet pickles, but not bread and butter.
I keep clipping the basil back and it keeps right on a growing bigger! LUV it!
I know next year I want to do even more herbs of all kinds! On the deck for cooking, around the chicken run for fragrance and their taste buds, as well as in raised beds!
I have to believe the basil in front of the tomatoes this year, as well as my pruning the tomatoes, is what is keeping the bugs n HWs away! I know I'm gonna regret sayin that out loud!!!
Yall have an awesome day!
