What did you do in the garden today?

I never liked radishes either, until I sliced them thin and sautéed in butter. They carmelize almost like onions, and get almost sweet!
I've heard that they taste similar to potatoes when baked. Haven't tried it, but I might buy some to give it a go. BTW, the entire radish plant is edible. Some people pickle the seed pods when they're young and tender.
Using baking soda can help sometimes too, because it's a fairly strong base, yet not strong enough to burn you,
When I broke my wrist, I used baking soda as deodorant. (I couldn't hold the deo package with that hand.) I had a shallow dish of baking soda, and used a rag to dab the soda on my underarms. It worked very well. The downside was the gritty soda was all over the bathroom sink. I had to rinse it off a lot.
Love apple butter.
Me too! I made mine with cherry juice where it called for water. It's delicious!

I harvested a lot of tomatoes because it is supposed to rain tonight. I went out hornworm hunting last night, and didn't find any, so.... maybe there were just 2?

My husband helped me finish making my compost bin. Now, the pupper can't just get to the pile, and it won't flatten into a not-a-pile.

They definitely tasted way different, and better, when cooked. They still didn't taste good, and made my stomach not feel good, so, not worth it to me to keep trying. A fun experiment, though (as is growing anything new).

Baking soda tends to irritate my pits, so I can't use those deodorants. I've heard it's an issue for some others, too, so,

I can see how it could be irritating. Fortunately, it wasn't for me when I used it. I chalked the experience up to "something else that is useful to know, but not my first choice." I had a lot of those when I was one-handed. Like brushing my teeth left handed, and buttoning my pants with one hand.

Apparently, I never finished my thought! :lau
"... so, maybe it's just irritating for people with sensitive skin?"
Buttoning the pants would be difficult! It always amazes me when an injury reveals how much you actually use that area!

I still have no idea where I want to put those EWO. Maybe I'll make a raised bed for them somewhere in the actual garden, or maybe put them in the cottage/medicinal herbs garden I'm going to be planning (although, I don't know exactly where that's going, either).

I was reading about radishes and one person was offended that it’s compared to a potato lol.

Now I am going to just have to give that a try. That's what I dont like about them, the hot / pungent.

wow beautiful shroom. Reminds me of some of the giant oysters i get later in the season here. let us know how it tastes !

Cut off the skin. That’s where the zing is, the white part has all the nutrients.
