This is the first hives I had living where I do now, I used to help with a sideliner and a commercial keeper during college. Is this your first time having bees? We just got our first bees a week and a half ago.
The rolled leaves that isGot the Sweet potatoes planted yesterday, received my two bee hives today, and found an issue with my one apple tree.
Still need to figure out what is causing it.

I make 2.5-3 gallons every two weeks and drink it all myself.I don't make kombucha right now. I use to make a lot of it. A gallon a day. But that was when I had a family of 6. I never second-fermented it though. That was before I knew about it. I bet it's good!!
I had a fairly small raccoon roll a trap over. I learned to put a cinder block on top of the trap, and that helped. The rebar idea is great! I gotta remember that. Also a coon can destroy a trap or roll it over and get out. A rebar stake through the cage and driven into the ground to prevent rollover.
You can protect the roses with a bucket, box or feed sack. Then spray roundup. Once dry it is safe to remove the cover. Roundup will not creep with rain as 24D does.I'll get in the garden today when I got home - another office day. Planning to head out soon to beat some traffic.
I MUST transplant the yardlong beans today. I am looking for a spot for some huge sunflower seeds that were given to me. I might get those in too.
Another question - How can I rid my rose bed of Creeping Charlie without harming the roses? Weed and feed kills it, but might hurt my roses too I think.
