I think spinosad is supposed to work on them....Leaf miners…get the shotgun.
Anything that’ll kill the worms? Or just pick the bad leaves and spray with neem to catch the flies? Horticulture oil?

We have been here 2 years, and I haven't seen any fruits on them. They flowered last year, but nothing after that. I'm hopeful this year, especially since I decided to water them a couple of times. Getting them under control is going to be a project, though...Definitely grape! Prepare for tons of them!
Oops! I wasn't aware of that! Well....we'll just keep THAT our secret, OK. What my husband doesn't know sometimes....will never hurt him, right?Careful... Chicken math applies to goats too.![]()
I've planted plenty of watermelons, but somehow, they've failed to get the message TO GROW! We've had tons of rain, so they have plenty of water. I give them manure tea once in a while, so where are my watermelons???We have been here 2 years, and I haven't seen any fruits on them. They flowered last year, but nothing after that. My cilantro is sprouting! We will see if I even needed to overseed as much as I did.
I thinned the carrots, purslane, and dill today. The carrot and purslane seedlings came inside to be eaten in some way (added some to my salad tonight), and some of the dill seedlings were moved over by the cabbage to hopefully keep the loopers at bay a bit. I also planted mustard, another row of Tom Thumb lettuce, Bull's Blood beets, and Shiraz Tall Top beets.
Only one watermelon seed sprouted, so I'll have to sow a couple more.
I will try planting some Thai melons tomorrow............The last time I grew them in 5 gallon buckets, but this time, I will plant them in the ground.I've planted plenty of watermelons, but somehow, they've failed to get the message TO GROW!
You most likely have a male vine and will not get fruit. We have been here 2 years, and I haven't seen any fruits on them. They flowered last year, but nothing after that. Are cultivated varieties also male/female? I bought 2 each of 2 varieties, a red (Einset) and a green (Niagara). You most likely have a male vine and will not get fruit.
