Lemon grass and lemon mint ARE two different plants. I refuse to grow corn, so can't help there. I'd probably use a shovel if I did.

I have a couple of rose bushes I need to plant, clearance at Lowes for $5. They're in sad shape and need some pruning but I almost always have good luck with plants from there. Spread some mulch around the apple tree and watering pretty much everything. Cleaned off the patio, fed and watered the chickens. Lots more to do but no heavy lifting. Finally got a wheelbarrow![]()
Best way to hill corn.???
hey bought 4 butterfly nets at dollar store last two daysWent to Dollar Store to buy butterfly net. Didn't have one but they did have Burpees seeds 4 for $1
Thanks.I don't hill corn. I have used a deep mulch system for the past 30+ years, and simply pile the mulch up around the base of the corn. currently converting my garden to BTE which will also not require any hilling.
That's where they all went.hey bought 4 butterfly nets at dollar store last two days
Your season is really ahead of mine. Bartlett not ready till end of August.Don't grow corn here either...too many times losing it to raccoons that raid the patch at night. Fighting coons now over the pears. They are masters at avoiding live traps and snap traps. Will be resorting to night watch again with the 22.
So in the garden today, I picked pears off the Bartlet pear. The Moonglow will be ripening in the next two weeks.
Picked a few Jalapenos for hot salsa verde.
The heat index is high with 1/4 inch rain predicted.
Wet down all the poultry pens today.
