What did you do in the garden today?

I really like MiGardener. He's got a ton of great advice. Because of his advice I've been able to grow huge yields from my raised beds year after year, plus grow all year long! 😁

I've been growing food for a long time but not as efficiently as I have since watching his guides. I don't do everything he does, totally different soil, climate, water.... But his experience has helped me grow. Pun intended. šŸ˜‚
I watch him too. Good videos

I also love watching Gardening with Leon. That old timer is awesome. I'd love to go see his nursery in Oklahoma.

I finished mowing since dh fixed lawn mower (got water in gas). 🄵
We have a vine taking over our brush area and I thought kudzu but phone says it’s a pepper plant -Vera Cruz pepper. Very invasive. Gonna kill the privet hedge which I don’t care one bit other than birds live in it.
Pic of trunk of fig tree w holes from fig borer. Hate them.

Turns out one I thought was loofah in wild is a pumpkin! ā¤ļø was gonna plant for my grandson anyway. My other loofah is producing

@Smokerbill -notice the dirt area next to the sweet potatoes? That is the ā€œgreat carrot experimentā€ area -the ones soaked then put in gel before planting. Yes, most are sprouting -one variety seems to be lacking in sprouts. However, it’s not any quicker than plain ā€˜ol’ seeding. Biggest advantage is getting the seeds evenly distributed. Might have to add in some seeds for a couple of the varieties. I’m going to wait a little longer.
Thanks for the update. As of yesterday none of my cornstarch carrots had germinated. I agree that the best thing about the method is improved seed distribution.

12 quarts of dill and still didn’t use them all! Need to make 12 more quarts and sweet and then we are set for year!
I thought cutting in chunk sizes would allow more in but I’m not sure they do. šŸ¤” it’s a bugger getting them in wo much space
They look delish! I like to slice them the long way on the mandolin & make sandwich pickles.

For my Ohio people (@Acre4Me), this made me giggle.

Yeah I started watching some of his other videos too, haha. Very interesting!
Hang onto the boxes, if something does not grow you can put the dead "stick" right back into the box & return it. If ya don't save receipts, hopefully you're in their Neighbors club & they'll look up when you bought it. They do refund or give store credit for stuff that didn't grow.

Before you plant any of these, soak in water 1st. They're stored dormant in the packages. Most times soaked in water will "wake them up" but sometimes not so just be prepared in case you need to return them.
Oh I will, thank you! I've still got the receipt too so I'll tape that to one of the boxes.
Some of them are already growing it looks like
Aronia, Blueberry, and kiwi

That is too funny
I was born in Ohio.

So kiwi need multiple plants to produce? I could go back and buy a few more.
Can the other ones all produce on their own?
Also for the Blueberry, I read they need acidic soil. Can I just add some of my duck poop compost in the bottom of the pot? It's old hay and bedding from winter.
