I would take some . I got 4 babies deep red, pink, white. The only one that lived thru winter is the white 1

We are "supposed to" get some rain this afternoon. From the graphic they showed, it looks like our swath of rain will be light. I'll take whatever we can get.

Pulled some weeds. Cleaned in coops & added to compost. Everyone was out enjoying themselves, chickens pecking & scratching, Guineas pecking alongside of chickens then flying a bit with the Pigeons. The 1 sweet Lady fox (she thinks she is a dog) hung out with us til dusk.

I got about 20 more cucumbers. I see at peak time, I should be pickling 2x week
When is the butternut squash ready to pick? Does it turn tan, vine shrivel? This one is already about 18 inches long.

I accidentally killed my grandson’s volunteer pumpkin. Have to plant another.
I shouldn’t have tried to weed around it….

My dill is trying so hard to grow!

I’ve decided to give up on trying to harvest that okra and plant more in corn row spaces. Note to self - don’t put the okra and butternut together!

Everything is growing. Watering everyday. I check chickens water 2xs. It's been hot! Rain has been south of us. Pumpkin vine has went crazy. I planted it in the shade! It's nice to have fresh vegetables out of the garden.

When is the butternut squash ready to pick? Does it turn tan, vine shrivel? This one is already about 18 inches long.

2 weeks after the tan skin is hard....vine dies... it's a winter storage squash.

In my super cheap styrofoam incubators, I would use small glasses and cut down sponges. Fill cups part way with water, insert sponge so it sticks up as much as it can. It wicks the water up. Refill with some hot water. I put 4 small glasses, one per corner, bc the corners are the coolest, in my incubator.

I did something similar but it didn't help. I still have 2 sponges and max humidity is 62-63. then it drops to 58-59. I spray through the holes all day long.

I had in a small area, closet, with humidifier. Wet sponge by vent. If vents are close they don't get enough oxygen
