What did you do in the garden today?

Check out these carrots I pulled up today. Biggest carrots I've ever grown. A little worried that they might be woody. The tops are over 2 inches in diameter!

I decided to do a little experiment, just out of curiosity. I cut the tops off, dusted them in root hormone and put them in some water. Curious to see if they might grow another carrot. 😂

I'm having the weirdest issue with a couple of plants and wonder if anyone can help at all.
My son brought over a couple of plants he started from seed and within a week they dried up. Or at least thats what they look like. They were in front of our glass patio door for the sunlight, but a little too close by the heat register. We moved them into another room with better lighting, because we can leave the light on, not too close to the register and they aRe watered regularly, and have been. But, they don't look any better and the leaves are now officially dry and crispy. They're not over watered. I went to water them again, but the soil was wet to the touch from the last watering a couple days earlier. I know that sounds like they're over watered, but we only watered them twice, when needed, and they've only been here for less than two weeks.

Probably not. If they do it will be from the side. They will likely grow tops and may go to seed.
