What did you do in the garden today?

G’morning everyone. I’m going to water when the sun comes up but not much as we are potentially getting rain tomorrow. 60% chance so not great, but I’m hopeful! Temps are around 70 for a high but we may be around 80 by this time next week. Today is housecleaning, making the kids help and their mother too.

The "5-8" of snow" turned into about 2-3" here. We have been on the short end of the stick ALL SEASON LONG!!! I don't think we've had 20-24" total, and our average is 48+. I know there's still more winter ahead, but sheesh.

Some would say that's a good thing, but I'm getting concerned with the lack of moisture for the ground and the lack of the insulating blanket for roots. We had the minus single digits with very little snow, so any damage is probably done. :(
Same here, same thoughts

we've only had 3.1 inches in 341 days. This is the first real snow all winter here, and it's a DRY DRY snow.
So less than .3 inches of water in this stuff.
More chances over the next week, but I could do without the -15'F this morning with chills of -30, and the winds tomorrow are going to be over 40mph. This powder will be EVERYWHERE.
Upside - seeds have been gathered.

My garden……

I think a palm tree would look nice out there 😆

We only got about 3 inches of snow but it rained all morning up until 1PM. OMG! I cleaned up the paths in the backyard early and it wasn’t too bad. I did the front walk and the driveway after lunch. Good grief the slush was heavy. All done. I’m resting a little now but will try to scoop some more slush in the back. It did a lot of melting but there’s no place for the water to go.
