What did you do in the garden today?

@Justagalwithchicks Well, unless you DON"T want it anymore. Then don't.
I've been eyeballing the giant garden tarp in my upwind neighbor's back pasture. Sure would be nice to have at my place! LOL.
Two years, ago I inherited three of their barrel racing barrels. Yes, I took them back. That was the same year our other 'neighbor's' trampoline vanished from this earth altogether. We still have no idea where it ended up. For all we know it's deep in the State Park with a family of party raccoons and deer living under it, and throwing bounce parties.

Honestly though, it's the BLOWING snow that's going to be the problem this go around. HOURS of 60-70 mph gusts. I did fuel up the tractor and turn it around, which usually makes sure we get nothing. LOL. But in March, all bets are off.
I saw they're already planning early close days tomorrow for schools. The sooner it turns to snow, the more we'll get. The wind is a GIVEN.

Grabbed a packet of dill seeds today. Couldn't find mine.
I can't find sunchokes ANYWHERE this year. I might have to order some of those online.
I'll go pick up compost when the weather perks back up next week. I'll need some for the potatoes.

The only perk is the temperature. That wet heavy snow and wind will definitely make the power go out.

Ya, I need to bank water for livestock and us in the morning. I ran out of steam to do it tonight. That also usually keeps us from loosing power. That said, the county has spent weeks butchering trees along the right of way with a shredder, which makes the other trees and partially chewed trees weaker. So ya, trees on lines.

But the sun angle and temperature of 37 on Wednesday should help make that snow sticky and not so blowy.

Ya that's good. So are mozzarella sticks. And roast beef sandwiches
I'm right there with ya now. Arby's makes the best mozzarella sticks as for the roast beef the truck stop in Canyonville Or did and now you would have better luck trying to swim the Mississippi River. They took out the restaurant and then they got rid of the ice cream place. They had Huckleberry ice cream and OMG WAS IT GOOD. Now they just suck.
