What did you do in the garden today?

The plan through to Monday (which may or may not happen) is to cut some more herbs.

Treat some buckets with DM.

Move some planter buckets into the new housing area.

One of the flocks will be moved to new housing. I plan to do some (I don't know what the words are) planning so that I can use that ground as a terraced garden next year.

I have a greenhouse (still in the original box) that needs to be put up. My goal is to get that done by Monday of next week. I have a squash that is growing that needs to be protected so that maybe the squash can mature.

There's last minute harvesting to be done of the peppers. My chickens are loving picking fresh peppers and tomatoes and fruit themselves! Gotta get some for me. :) Now that I know which group likes what kinds, I will be adding it to the flocks gardens as well.

Put together some planter boxes.

Start some lettuce greens from seed.

Got the wire buried all the way around the coop! Now i am trying to put up gutters to collect rain water. What a pain! I have never done it before, and the roof slants a bit opposite to where i wanted to collect the water. Sigh, the board i used is smaller than i planned thanks DH for your "help" . Now i have less leeway getting the gutters up. Grr.:barnie Now i got stung by a bee! I tried to get it the way i wanted it, like 4 times. The way it is now will have to be good enough. I am going to need elbows to get it to the rain barrel.

I had two greenhouses in the boxes finally had our friend build another dome as we would never get the buildings up

Pulled a bucket of weeds and gave them to the guineas. They loved it. Put the panels for the runs up in their approximate places but i need the 2 foot hardware cloth before i do that.
Found it on ebay for $43 for a 50 foot roll. Much better than paying $14 for 10 feet. It should be here by the 19th. Good thing i am not in a hurry.

oh, yes, and you can't kill 'em even if you try (well, maybe you can, they are pretty indestructible though).
Nice! I have been trying to get some cheap perennials at the garden center clearance areas. I got some phlox, coral bells, day lillies, hosta, black eyed Susans, Echinacea, and a couple others i can't recall right now. The last two have been chewed to bits, probably by that varmint that ate my garden or possibly by deer. None of them care how close they are to the house!
