What did you do in the garden today?

Penny, that's fair. We all have different abilities. Personally, I am fairly deft with my hands and have been folding origami since as far back as I can remember. My sister taught me to fold cranes when I was a very little girl and I never stopped folding origami, so these are right up my alley. They are much simpler than a crane so I just put on a TV show and zone out when I have down time. My hands carry me through the motions with little input from my brain.

I hope you get a better night's sleep tomorrow!

I would like it to be 10-12' high.
So how long is your PVC?
Not sure how long to get it to be high enough plus I want it between 12-15' wide.
Wow, that would be huge. You can see my hoop coop build on my thread, Helpful Hints for Building coops. It started with t posts pounded in the ground. Fencing added to those, then cattle panels on top of that to get the added height. I was hoping the guineas would roost there at night. No PVC involved. Note, if you are using pvc outside i would recommend protecting it with a coat of paint. It will last years longer if not exposed to the sun. I discovered that using pvc in my pond in Florida.

Last week, hubby and I were at Lowe's. I cruised the gardening section while he was getting his hardware. When we met up again, I was carrying a wilted peace lily that looked like it was barely clinging to life. Him: "What's that?" Me: "A Peace Lily." Him: "What you gonna do with that?" Me: "I'm gonna take it home and nurse it back to life. See. It's not dead yet." Him: "You have lots of plants already." Me: "Yeah, but this one needs me. Besides, remember that article you showed me last night about how certain plants improve indoor air quality? Peace Lily is near the top of the list. You can thank me later!"

Monday, we went back to Lowe's so he could get some more hardware. When we met up at the cash register, I was carrying an other very sad looking Peace Lily. Him: :duc Me:

Hah! Lazy, I wish I could keep house plants. XD Somehow I always seem to kill them. I have killed cactuses, herbs, mini trees, spider plants, you name it. Houseplants and I don't mix. :p Somehow I can grow things outside, but never ever inside it seems other than starting seeds. My mum was big on houseplants, had a whole JUNGLE of them, but I never had her gift for caring for them.

Outside is so much easier. But, I love being able to see a bit of green in the house. I'm more apt to kill house plants in the summer. So, I try to keep varieties that can spend the summer outside. Then, I cull them, and bring in selected ones for the winter. Today, I pulled 3 Rosemary out of a big pot down in the basement, potted them up and brought them upstairs. They were small, but had huge root systems. I'm hoping they will grow well like the one I brought in last fall. I LOVE the scent of Rosemary, and like having it near front and back doors, just so I can run my hands over it. It's also awesome in a foil packet of veggies on grill.
