What did you do in the garden today?

I planted 60 pepper plants today. Thirteen sweet chocolate, 13 purple beauty bells, 10 Anaheims, 12 jalapenos and 12 cayenne. My tomatoes are starting to sprout too. :) I also thought I might have seen another tiny oregano trying to break through the ground! Which would be very exciting!
I finally have heat mats under all the tomatoes as well as the peppers. And the celery has a light right over em so they don't get too leggy. :)

I've had wildly varied germination on my peppers. The ruby kings, canary bells (<heh, when I first typed that it read 'Carny Bells') and lilac beauties all came up like gangbusters. The orange bells and chocolate bells, not so much. Weird, becauses those are only one year old while the canaries are three years old. SMH.

Hot peppers are all happy and healthy, AND I managed to fix one of my grow lights so all of the nightshades are under lights. The tomatoes are happy, though, once again, I started them about two weeks too early. Eh, that's what the milk and soda bottles are for, right? ;)

Oh man, every time I have tried to start my tomatoes early it has been a complete disaster. They get WAY too big and leggy for the space I have and it always stays cold those extra few weeks I'd need them to be outside... Last year I started them early they all got wilt and died because they were crowded and humid and it was cold. :( RIP.
Right now there's so much snow on the ground. I have no way to do anything but inside gardening which generally means planting seeds and/or watering seedlings.
My seed company shipped my seed potatoes this week. I don't have ideal temps to store them at. First they'll go in my fridge in the coldest spot until nearly the end of the month, then somewhere cool and humid (maybe my basement?) for another week or two before planting. I have to get another set from somewhere like Home Depot soon also for my other potato box.
I also realized that there's a big error in my potato box image on my garden map... It's 2'x4' (two 2' boxes). In reality the boxes are 4'x8' (two 4' boxes) which means everything on the right side of my garden map is in the wrong location. Derp. I will have to fix that.

We had rain yesterday afternoon through early this morning. Not heavy so it had a chance to soak in :wootI swept the patio and cleaned up the coop. Dumped a bucket of water that had some squigglies in it before they could turn into skeeters. I have to do something about a few bushes that the chickens have demolished. Surprisingly they're still alive.
Who is alive, the chickens or the bushes?:lau

Oh PLEASE
NOT another one!!! 20 inches added to the previous storm. How much for this storm?Winter arrived just in time for spring!:lau

Potted up eggplant seeds started on moist napkin. Watered today when most were wilting.

Looked at long purple eggplants potted up several days ago. Dang they look sad. Only need half. :fl

Looking at tomatillo, bunching onions, and collards that need seeding tonight.:th
