What did you do in the garden today?

Wow still raining here today I do not do wet feet or bottom of pants just not the same digging in dirt in rubber boots head scratching green.gif

does anyone know how to look after a passion flower ,my friend gave me it 18mths ago ,thought it was a wisteria till it flowered ,last year it bloomed great but has since gone straggly I don,t want to cut it back incase I kill it .going to repot it and feed it but I don,t know what else to do .
I wish I knew ... I’d be looking on google or YouTube. As far as I can tell it’s a vine that flowers and should be cut back each spring to encourage a thicker stock or vine. A house plant I would think is the same. It’s early spring now so it’s a good time or if you just transplanted it recently you could wait till early fall. Spring or fall is usually when trimming happens.

G'morning gardeners :frow

Good Morning!

:barnie is right! Sounds like a a pretty daring individual. Is your coop accessible to the street or a walking path?
No actually, it's down a gravel driveway, past our cars, fence with open gate but no trespassing clearly posted, about 300 ft from the road.
I'm guessing they were watching for when I left, neighbors rooster is no longer crowing. And you know he's not going to leave his hens to cross the road, find my chicken house and get stuck in it, in under 3 hours.

WOW! So they traversed quite a bit and then did they actually open the coop gate and place him in the coop? Very daring. Maybe they know you and were comfortable doing this because figured you'd take care of him. Irregardless, very frustrating. Another post mentioned you had to dispatch him due to inability to re-home and him being a target of one of the other roosters. Well, hopefully no repeats.

Some people....:barnie
I’d have the gonads to walk over and start a conversation. You know like how if they need to be taught how to cull a bird. Or how it’s irresponsible to dump etc ... just to make a point in a nice neighborly way to say... if you did this stop! Most people won’t admit wrong doing but a little conversation could go along way. Especially if you educate them. I also like the idea of spray painting a red target on their dog...taking it back to them and explaining that next time... well ya know. Around here dogs get shot especially those not cared for and if they become chicken killers.
Pets & animals can get out by accident that’s different.
I’d be looking non stop if one of mine got out. So perhaps now is the time to get to know your neighbors for better or worse.
Good morning Gardeners. :frow
Oh! How fun the My neighbors children got a drone...how freakin fun NOT!
It freaked me and the chickens out i hope they get board with it soon. They are great kids (and family). Yesterday the husband was trying out the new John Deer (grading my front) he’s not as good as his wife...I wonder if they’ll let me try. Lol :celebrate

Today, I planted watermelon, pumpkin and birdhouse gourds. We just had a good rain, and I found a nice little plot of ground in the woods that is open to the sun, on a gentle slope. I worked the compost into the dirt, and planted seeds.

I also made some tree cages to put around the new hazelnut trees I planted. I don't want the deer to eat them.
