Totally understand it...... but look at the positive.
Consider it as SHARING.
Those deer do not have one of these,,,

and can not go to the grocery store to get some for their breakfast.
I on the other hand am able to get to the store, and stock up on these year round. (for the most of the year) I like them when they are super abundant and on SALE
My typical breakfast.

So my attitude about garden items, (including flowers) is same as with my chickens, and predators. I try to protect them both BEST that I can
I need to do this to prevent my tree mice(squirrels) from tearing up my flower pot soil plantings.

YesI know it looks messy. The maple seeds are coming down as if it is snowing
When the flowers start growing thru the wire, I remove and replace with the cylindrical cages.

Those cylindrical cages that I make keeps the squirrels out as well as support the flowers as they grow for a nice showing.
And just wanted to share some of my repurpose items. The playhouse does not get much use by grandchildren, but it does add to the patio decor.Of course I do like to utilize things fully.

Inside we keep their outdoor toys. This way after they finish playing, we do not trip over them.
Those hanging baskets were such a good deal,,,,,,,,, I had to control my self with the amount I purchased. I think it was 8 or 10 that I purchased. When the of-springs came over last weekend, I told them to help themselves with whatever they desired for their home yard![]()
Love that perspective! This is the first year we have grown strawberries, where they actually produced, so it was disappointing to have them all eaten. I need to cover the tub, I guess. The strawberry plants in that tub were brought to me in Colorado from my mom in Missouri, from her garden. Then I brought them to Virginia when we moved here. They flowered in Colorado, but never produced berries. Now they are going crazy! Last year I thinned out the tub and planted the runners, creating the ground patch.
