What did you do in the garden today?

Have you tried this method of preserving your eggs for later use?

The first day at work was fine. It was sitting all day and listening to presentations about safety & policies and things like that. The surprise is that I have to be back at work at 4 AM! My paperwork had said 9 to 4:30 for 3 days and then switch to the early morning hours. Oh well, I knew it was coming eventually. It just arrived sooner than I thought! :lau
Fortunately, I left an hour early today. I had to try 3 different routes before I could fine one that wasn't closed due to flooded roads. I mad it there 2 minutes before I had to be there. Google Maps let me down, they didn't have any of the flooded road closures in there system. :he
I'm headed to bed really early tonight!
Have not tried it yet . Plan to try it come spring .

Good morning gardeners. Thanks for the video @jerryse. I'm not sure if I will be using it, however it is good to know how to do this if it became necessary to preserve eggs. So thank you. Yesterday was not the greatest weather day. Snow showers and drizzly for a good part of the day. I did manage a little time in clearing out a new spot for another compost pile. This will give the big pile of chicken poo and pine shavings time to decompose so perhaps I can turn it into usable compost. I'm hoping to finish fencing that area off a bit today and running more rope to steady the plastic wrap on the run. I started sourdough bread last night and I need to make butter today. Our weather is slowly getting back to normal January trends. It has been a treat to finally see sort of green grass in my yard for a little while. I know the chickens have been enjoying a break from the ice palace. Sorry about your awful commute @karenerwin. I learned a long time ago that you really can't trust google or MapQuest for driving. I hope it gets easier. Take care and have a great day everyone.
