No the city 45 minutes away has curbside. We don't have a library, a town, or a village. We're just out by ourselves. So forget about a stop light. HA!

I love it! We have 'some' neighbours but fairly isolated which my husband prefers. People even poke fun of us because of our "one street" town with the grocer, gas station, and few other merchants. Then we have the post office, library and sheriff station. We also still have a pay phone which really get a lot of s**t and giggles!!! Oh well. I love being up here and wouldn't have it any other way...and its nice to see that people still live off the grid!! Have a wonderful people-free week WthrLady...hopefully we'll all get to spend a lot of time with our feathered babies, plants and projects!!!

No stoplights here, either, but I did sow a bunch of snow peas today. They're so pretty, they go right into the back of the (mostly) flower/ornamental beds. We're expecting rain tomorrow; pulled back our row cover to get that bed nice and wet so I can get things going in there (what is in there should be fine with our mild temperatures).

At lock up tonight (Sunday) I found that something had killed my turkey hen. I think it may have been a raptor of some sort which is surprising it would take on my turkey.

Good morning gardeners. I think I mentioned here that I broke isolation yesterday and picked up a couple of items. I was shocked at the number of cars on the road. Despite the urge to go out again, I'm waiting until the "senior citizen" time to venture out tomorrow. I checked again online for items and nothing is available (that is aside from furniture, electronic, and gardening stuff and some random junk food????). They are forcing people into the stores. Good strategy there. I tried using almond milk as substitute coffee creamer. That was like pouring flavored cold water into the coffee cup. I hope I can find some of the soy creamer tomorrow. The powdered stuff I have for emergency use is really bad for you. Today is re-scheduled laundry day, so no plans to work outside. I may try to drag a few buckets of dirt to the new garden bed later on, but humping laundry baskets up and down the stairs is really plenty of exercise for one day. The temps hovered around 27F early this morning so I did not cover the peach tree again. I think it will be fine. After this snow "event" is done I'll be bringing my fig tree out of the garage and then putting the plastic over the hoop garden and planting peas. Can't wait. That, some more TP and Kleenex and pork ribs and I'm good for another 2 months. Have a great day everyone and keep on planting!

I looked at them lovingly today, my starts are inside and will be there for at least another month. I do have to get started on adding some raised beds soon. My gardens are 30x30, 80x100 and 40x50.

Saturday I saw trees being unloaded at Walmart . I have Glorisoa daisy seed coming in the mail today . I wanted red and yellow but could only find yellow in seed racks . I like the bicolor . Actually got a better deal . A half ounce for 2.75 .

Now that's a lot of garden! I thought my 24x55ft area was big...80x100 is nearly my entire property lot.
