Oh. We get days on end of temps around 100°F and humidity averages around 65 to 70% but may be higher, and we get a lot of rain in the spring and summer. It's the combination of heat and humidity that gives us tornadoes. It's brutal. We put welded wire cages around some squash plants one year and they burnt the plants. I think tires might easy-bake cook 'em here.

Today it rained all day. But yesterday I replanted some bunched up garlics so in the fall I’ll have some decent cloves to plant for the next year. And I set out broccoli plants, and put some seed potatoes in the ground.

Moved the chicks to the coop but took way too much time fooling with a giant rabbit cage and me kneeling too much in the coop that isn't as clean as it was yesterday. I am the queen of second thoughts. It's way too hard to supervise them now and check them for pasty butt, so tomorrow I'll undo everything and just staple up a divider. *sigh* It's only for a week at the most then we'll mix all the chicks together.
Got about half of the liquid fertilizing done then we went fishing . But we got skunked, so no fish to go in the new planting holes.

Talking about pineapples do I need to make a tutorial? It is a pretty simple thing to do, and yes I am blessed with maybe 14 days a year of unfavorable conditions rearing them yearly. However, there are lessons to be learned and taught, and I am willing to share.

The hardest part of the insano conversation I had with this guy was his statement that "I need to learn to control my chicken" ok? I do not know how to do that better than to erect fences and barriers which I have had for the last three years. What is my next best step to keep his run at large dogs off my property? Unliscensed electric fencing? Or should I live in fear due to his low level threats that I don't know who I am dealing with? Seriously, I have friends too and some don't mind going to jail for the right reasons. They still know I'll give em all the eggs they or their family want/need and $10-/hour to boot plus their stimulus checks. I am a brother to stand next to them. I really hate Texans who try and reverse racism me, just for the record I am the only caucasianish american indian disabled veteran living in this small town of 2000. I'm sorry to spew my toxic thoughts into this public forum, but I should call my brothers in arms to swat this miserable mosquito of a man. BTW that is just a thought, not a plan or an actionable intention.

Oh man Allen, So sorry. This has been a long time coming and i for one am glad that you feel that you can rant or practice rant with us. Lord knows I've done it too. Well, you made your report. This guy probably just has to process and settle. I'm sure you will never get an apology unless he starts working a 12 step program lol and I'm sure his pride and ego are still all bent because he is not getting his way or something. Lets hope time smooths this thing out. You did good by calling on John T Law.. main thing is chickens are safe and you and yours too. I guess anything ill tempered he says is terroristic threatening..?
