Toenails are done. OMG what a flipping nightmare.
For some reason they are growing at a ridiculous rate and the gravel corral they are on is NOT keeping them worn down.
So instead of once a year at shearing they really should be done every other month.
These boys were almost feral when I got them. Better now but ugh.
They were done in early June. Needed done again in October. Again in January, but I couldn't, and still couldn't until today. (Shearing team comes in a month.)
They were a mess. Absolute mess!
It took us 2.5 hours. I was kicked in the arm (keep in mind thiese animals are designed to kick off Jaguars) draggged. Shoved into a steel door closure and tore open the back of my hand. Thrown into a wood chute support and stepped on. I have no idea how I even managed to cut my finger! LOL. I will be SO black and blue tomorrow. Ranch life, eh?
I am going to feel this later ! Cute fluffy things my A$$!
