If I get enough peppers from my plants I think I'll try to make a sweet hot relish.
I would so love to have some rain, watering every day is getting old.
Once we get the second tractor built, we'll get some cx, the cockerels we processed from our hatch were the best chicken we'd ever tasted. Making a rabbit stew tonight with our home grown veg and rabbit. Really curious as to how it'll taste.
I am still getting okra from my plants, they might be self fertilizing since mine are all in a greenhouse.
Is that the purple flower one? It's beautiful.
Copper spray or the tomato plants? I love the smell the plants give off when I'm moving the branches around to tie them up. It's just such a Summer smell. Even better than freshly mowed lawns.
How big are your pots? I have to water our potted ones daily, and tbh, I water the raised tomatoes daily as well.
OMGOMGOMG Chicks!!! So cute! What breeds are they? I don't recall if you said before. We'll be getting some cx chicks before too long but from what I understand, they don't stay cute for long.
Tying up tomato plants is like picking up dog poop, as soon as you stop, you see more that you missed. Thank you so much to whomever it was that originally posted the zucchini fritters, we've have them for breakfast/lunch the last two days and they are so freaking good. Today I used my own shallots, garlic, and zucchini. All I need now are for the pullets to start laying.
Tonight we'll be having rabbit stew with potatoes, shallots, snap peas, and beets, all from our own land.

We ate the beet greens at lunch with the fritters. I need to get some mushrooms and a couple onions from the store (yellow onions maybe next year) but I think I have everything else we need for the meal. Well maybe some crusty bread.
Yeah
@Sueby, those jerusalem artichokes are scary. I'm going to have to look into preservation techniques for them.
