Wow! Trombone is a name to remember! Butternut are good cooked like summer squash if you eat them young! And then the plant sets a new squashLook at this Butternut!! The green one! The other butternut in pic is farther ahead, of course, but is also a different seed. The big green one is called "Trombone" and says can get to 40 or 50 lbs per squash. Well, if it does I'll be impressed! I'm already impressed with this one. 3 seeds of Trombone germinated, but so far, only this one squash. The pics are just two views of the same squash.
